We work inbronze

A foundry, a stone yard and a joinery under one roof in Abu Dhabi. We cast the twelve-tonne bronze emblem on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, gilded the palms at the Presidential Palace, and carved the waterfalls in half the palace gardens of the Emirate.

What We Do

Three Workshops, One Roof

Most firms hand you a designer and subcontract everything after that. We cast the metal, sculpt the rock and build the joinery ourselves — which is why a garden, its lighting and the gates around it can arrive from one drawing set.

The Foundry

Metals

Casting, forging and plating, all in house. It is the oldest half of the business and the reason the company is called Metaliano.

How We Work

From site visit to running water

A typical garden or interior commission runs twelve to fourteen weeks. Monumental casting takes longer. Either way you deal with the people doing the work, not an account manager relaying to a subcontractor.

  1. 01Week 1

    Site & Brief

    We walk the site, take levels and note what the sun and the wind do to it. For water and rockwork this decides everything downstream — drainage falls, tank position, where a pump can actually live.

  2. 02Weeks 2–4

    Design & Visualisation

    Sketches first, then measured drawings and a 3D visualisation you can walk around. Rock profiles, plating samples and stone or mosaic swatches are approved before anything is committed.

  3. 03Weeks 4–10

    Workshop Fabrication

    Casting, forging, plating, carving and joinery happen in our own workshops in Abu Dhabi. Building it in house is what keeps the schedule ours rather than a subcontractor's.

  4. 04Concurrent

    Texture & Colour

    The stage that decides whether artificial rock reads as rock. Surfaces are carved wet, then coloured in translucent layers so the mineral variation runs through the depth rather than sitting on top.

  5. 05Weeks 10–14

    Installation

    Our own crews set the steelwork, hang the metalwork and commission the pumps, lighting and filtration. Interior fit-outs include the electrical and sanitary first fix.

  6. 06Ongoing

    Handover & Aftercare

    You get a walkthrough, water-treatment and lighting schedules, and an ongoing maintenance arrangement — the palace pole-lighting contracts have run for years on exactly this basis.

Our Story

A metal shop that

learned to build gardens

Metaliano Decor was established under its present name in 2003, continuing a trade its founders had already worked for more than twenty years. The name gives away the origin: this began as a metal shop — casting, plating and wrought iron — in the industrial quarter of Abu Dhabi.

The work grew outward from the foundry. A client who had commissioned gates asked for the lanterns; the lanterns led to the garden lighting; the garden lighting led to the garden itself. By the time Abu Dhabi Municipality wanted the national emblem cast in bronze, the same firm was carving waterfalls behind palace walls across the Emirate.

Three workshops now run under one roof — metals, exterior and interiors — and our own crews do the installing. Very little is subcontracted, which is why we can still answer for work handed over twenty years ago.
